Back in April we made the local news after our Second Distribution day.
About 100 of your gorgeous quilts were handed out that day.
Your names were read out loud, pictures were taken and tears were shed, (Happy tears!) and quite a lot of HUGS were being shared. I thank you so much for your generous donations!
Donated quilts to provide warmth for homeless families
(04/04/11) THE BRONX - Quilters from all over the U.S. and Canada are donating handmade blankets to a Bronx homeless shelter.
The quilts will be given to 50 families at one of BASICS/Promesa Systems’ residences for the homeless. The houses provide transitional support for the homeless, housing for low-income families and specialized treatment.
The families say the quilts are cheery and will be a welcome addition in their homes.
